GlowingOil FAQs

  • What skin concerns can be treated with GlowingOil?
Hydroquinone is the active in GlowingOil, a clinically proven skin-lightening agent. It’s designed to target a range of hyperpigmentation-related conditions, including:
    • acne scars
    • age spots
    • freckles
    • melasma
    • post-inflammatory marks from psoriasis and eczema

  • Does it work on ethnic skin?
GlowingOil will work differently on different skin types. It is formulated specifically to work on a wide range of skin types, including ethnic skin. All of our customers report a significant degree of lightening but each experience is unique. Most users report noticeable lightening and smoother skin tone within the first 6–8 weeks of consistent use.

  • How long does it take to see results?
Based on our 13-year data collection and analysis, most customers see results within 6 Weeks of consistent usage. Changes in the tone and texture of the skin come as early as Week 1 with a more permanent change coming around Week 4.

  • If I have oily skin, would it increase breakouts?
Absolutely not. The formula was designed using a lightweight, non-comedogenic base oil which blends with the oil your skin produces naturally (sebum). This helps balance oil production while delivering active ingredients like Vitamin C and Retinoic Acid deep into the skin—without clogging pores. Many of our customers with oily or acne-prone skin have seen improvements in both tone and texture.

  • What about dry skin?
If you have dry or sensitive skin, you may find that hydroquinone causes further dryness or irritation. This usually tapers off as your skin adjusts to the ingredient. Using a high quality moisturizer will definitely help with this. Remember, hydrated skin is happy skin. Happy skin will bring you results quicker and of a better quality.

  • Is it OK to go out into the sun with it on?
We do not recommend using GlowingOil if you plan to be in direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes. On such days, skip the morning application and use only at night. Always wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) during the day, even on cloudy days, to protect your results and reduce the risk of irritation or hyperpigmentation.

Possible side effects and risks
To date, hydroquinone is deemed safe in the United States. There isn’t any clinical evidence currently to suggest that hydroquinone is harmful to humans. However, minor side effects are still possible. It may cause a temporary uptick in redness or dryness at first, especially if you have sensitive skin. These effects should fade as your skin becomes used to the product.
