ProGlow International is a skin science company based in Trinidad & Tobago, dedicated to creating targeted formulations for hyperpigmentation, uneven tone, acne scarring, and melasma. Our mission is simple: to help you look clearer, brighter, and more confident—safely and consistently.
What began in 2012 as a small experimental project called GlowingOil has evolved into a globally recognized name trusted across the Caribbean, North America, the UK, Africa, and parts of Asia. Today, production has returned home. Every bottle of GlowingOil is now formulated modern laboratory standards and carefully sourced active ingredients.
Our Journey: From a Single Formula to a Global Brand
2012–2017 The GlowingOil Breakthrough
GlowingOil launched in 2012 with a simple observation: most lightening products were weak, unregulated, or ineffective. By combining Hydroquinone, Retinoic Acid, and Vitamin C in optimized ratios, the brand quickly gained traction online. Between 2014–2017, the formula known as "HydroGlow 20" became one of the most effective and trusted serums for stubborn hyperpigmentation.
2017–2021 Transition and Reinvention
As global cosmetic regulations tightened, ProGlow adapted. The formula evolved, names changed, and Hydroquinone levels were reduced to comply with international guidelines. During this period, the company refined texture, stability, and skin tolerability.
2025 The Return of GlowingOil
After years of research and customer feedback, the brand relaunched under a new umbrella: ProGlow International. Two updated formulations were introduced:
- GlowingOil Original — A modernized 2% Hydroquinone formula using the enhanced Radiance Complex™ for stability, brightness, and improved skin tolerance.
- GlowingOil Radiance — A Hydroquinone-free brightening serum powered by Alpha Arbutin, Kojic Acid, Citric Acid, and antioxidants for long-term maintenance and global export.
This relaunch marks a milestone: for the first time, GlowingOil is fully produced in Trinidad & Tobago, giving customers fresher batches, stronger quality control, and authentic Caribbean craftsmanship backed by science.
Why We Still Believe in 2% Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone remains the gold standard in dermatology for fading dark spots and discoloration. At 2%, it provides the perfect balance of clinical strength and safety, supported by decades of peer-reviewed research.
Our improved formula uses Tyrosinase inhibition—the most effective pathway for controlling excess melanin production—paired with retinoids and antioxidants for faster, more even results.
